TDITM 26 November Challenge: Lady Dancing!
Y’all, Christmas is two months away! And we are totally winning the ornament game because we are almost finished with the series! *high fives* Now that we have percussion and a lively tune courtesy of the drummer and piper, it’s time for some dancing:
If you are sewing alongside me for our Twelve Days in Twelve Months sewing challenge (to complete one Twelve Days ornament a month in 2026), it’s time to sew no. 11, Lady Dancing! (But wait, you might say, isn’t this the wrong order? Be assured, it’s the correct order for the original English carol. If 1780 is not how you roll, here’s the solution.)
Reminder: if you are a bit nervous about making her head, please review my handy head tutorial, then look for the detailed instructions in the pattern. Her flowered bonnet and curly chenille stem bun are such fun details!
Lydia’s dancer will be sewn in the aqua/green end of my Benzie color palette. I could still use an extra dancer sample since I gave away most of the originals, but it’s now officially crazy season for my business, so I may need to save building up my sample stash for next year. Again.
SHARE YOURS: Add a photo of your completed ornaments in the comments of this month’s pinned Facebook post, or tag your Instagram post with @mmmcrafts and #twelvedaysin12months to share your progress! (Please, no photos of my pattern pages.)
Buy the Lady Dancing pattern if you don’t have it yet, and grab the Modern Numbering supplement if you want to. (Or if you need the whole series, the 1-12 bundle is the best discounted price and contains bonus files, including Modern Numbering!)
