TDITM April: Colly Bird

If you are participating in my Twelve Days in Twelve Months sewing challenge to complete one Twelve Days ornament a month, it’s time to tackle the fourth pattern: Colly Bird!

Shown above: Black/blue Colly Bird made with Benzie Black, Graphite, Cyan, Burgundy, and Magenta felts (sorry, I do not have a color guide), and the blue/pink Colly Bird made with Felt On The Fly felts.

Let’s get sewing, mmmakers! (And see below for the April extra credit assignment!) Colly bird is an Old English term for blackbird, but you can make your birds in any colors you wish! For mine, I will be swinging back to the green/teal end of my palette (similar to the Turtle Dove from Feb), because I’m alternating between color schemes each month to end with a half and half set.

Add a photo of your completed ornaments in the comments of the pinned Facebook post, or tag your Instagram post with @mmmcrafts and #twelvedaysin12months to share your progress! (Please, no photos of my pattern pages.)

Buy the Colly Bird pattern if you don’t have it yet. (Or if you need the whole series, the 1-12 bundle is the best discounted price and contains bonus materials!)
