TDITM May: Gold Ring

If you are participating in my Twelve Days in Twelve Months sewing challenge to complete one Twelve Days ornament a month, it’s time to sew the fifth pattern: Gold Ring!

Shown above: Three Gold Rings made with Benzie Felts, detailed color guides here

Let’s do this, mmmakers! *high fives* Gold Ring is the fifth pattern in the series, and YAY it’s not a bird! While some scholars contend that gold ring actually refers to a type of pheasant, the illustration in Mirth Without Mischief c. 1780 features jewelry. That’s good enough for me. For mine, I will be swinging back to the mustard/copper end of my palette (similar to the French Hen from March), because I’m alternating each month to end with a half and half set.

Add a photo of your completed ornaments in the comments of the pinned Facebook post, or tag your Instagram post with @mmmcrafts and #twelvedaysin12months to share your progress! (Please, no photos of my pattern pages.)

Buy the Gold Ring pattern if you don’t have it yet. (Or if you need the whole series, the 1-12 bundle is the best discounted price and contains bonus materials!)
