TDITM ’25 Color Guide: Colly Bird

This is the palette I used for my eldest daughter’s Twelve Days set during my 2025 Twelve Months in Twelve Days challenge. Below are the detailed felt/floss color guides for you.

COLOR GUIDE:

FELT COLORS:
Sherwood: Head
Citron: Body front, body back, front wing inset
Nori: Wing fronts and backs, tail overlay
Teal: Wing overlay 1
Gold Metallic: Wing overlay 2
Copper: Beak

EMBROIDERY COLORS:
Note: These are just the decorative colors. You’ll also need matching floss colors to sew the felt pieces together.

DMC Black (eye)
DMC 907
DMC 943
DMC 500
DMC 919
DMC 606 (just for French knots on gold metallic, plus one knot on both ends of the teal line on body/tail)
DMC 3851 (just for the 4 on the back)
DMC G3852 (loop)

OTHER NOTIONS:
I added one 5 mm translucent iridescent sequin behind the eye. I used a permanent Prismacolor marker to tint the 8 mm wood bead for his curled feet.
