TDITM ’26 Color Guide: Goose a-Laying

This is the palette I used for my youngest daughter’s Twelve Days set during my 2026 Twelve Days in Twelve Months challenge. Below are the detailed felt/floss color guides for you.

To buy the felt colors you see below: Benzie Design, and search the colors by name. You’ll see an option to add matching floss. (Benzie also carries many of the notions and flosses you’ll need.)

GOOSE COLOR GUIDE:

GOOSE FELT COLORS:
Rhubarb: Tail feathers and head only (I split the body pattern pieces where the neck band goes and spliced it together after soaking the stabilizer away)
White: Body front and back, minus the head
Begonia: Wing front and back
Cherry Red: Wing inset
Julep: Straw A
Kelly: Straw B
Silver Metallic: Neck band and nest
Sherwood: Beak (I might have used Turquoise instead there, you try it)

GOOSE EMBROIDERY COLORS:
Note: These are just the decorative colors. You’ll also need matching floss or thread colors to sew the felt pieces together. (There might be some overlap.)

OTHER NOTIONS:
I subbed a 12 mm green and 8 mm brass sequin for the wing flower, held on by a 10/0 silver lined glass bead. I added 3 strand DMC 604 flower veins to the green sequin. I added a 5 mm iridescent translucent sequin behind the eye. And of course, the metallic silver neck band and nest.
