FOTF Color Guide: French Hen
Here are the colors to use for French Hen (#3 in the series) if you are making my Twelve Days ornaments with Felt On The Fly’s beautiful Emerald felt bundle.

Comb/Wattle: Orange Red
Beak and Flower Center: Dark Teal
Head and Legs: Sea Green
Body: Spring Green
Wing: Malachite
Flower: Lavender Pink
Tail: Shrimp

I found it hard to keep the stitches even when doing the slip stitch around the edge. My solution was to put the needle straight through for the visitble stitch and then angle it for the next stitch. For me, it is a much neater look.
