TDITM ’25 wrap up – pun intended

Abigail’s Twelve Days ornament set is wrapped and ready to gift underneath the tree. In twelve individual boxes. Hey, when you spend that much time patiently hand sewing fifteen heirloom ornaments, you want each one to get its fair share of the Christmas morning limelight. I can’t wait for her to open them all, one by one. I’ve been hoarding small boxes all year. Here’s the whole set:

Watch the reel showing each ornament on my Instagram feed here and see the individual photos along with color guides here.

There’s a thirteenth gift for her to unwrap too, this 1965 Robert Broomfield edition of the book. I’ve had my own copy for over ten years and I lucked out and found two more on Ebay, one for each of my daughters. I love including this particular book with the ornaments because it is also based on the original 1780 carol. Like my series, it uses “colly bird” instead of “calling bird” for the fourth day and shares the same order of gifts for the last four! That’s a little hard to find. Believe me, I’ve looked. If you find another, let me know!

I’ve also got one of these babies for her to take the set home in. A Sterilite medium organizer from Wal-Mart. I love these plastic drawers. It’s how I store all my samples in the studio.

If you missed sewing along with me for the 2025 Twelve Days in Twelve Months challenge, no worries, I’m doing it again in 2026 so I can gift my youngest daughter her own set next Christmas. Her palette will have a mid-century vibe and some metallic sparkle. Read the details on how to participate.
