Merry Christmas!
Happy Christmas Eve! I wish you all a beautiful Christmas day filled with the love of Christ, friends, family, and delicious food. To all my fellow hostesses out there, let’s remember to lay our Martha suits down. Let’s choose the good part. Be Marys. Soak it in, be present. ENJOY. I’m mainly preaching to myself here.
I can’t believe December is almost gone. Y’all. Whoosh! The first thing I do when I stumble out of bed is to turn all the Christmas lights on. (Coffee tastes better if there are twinkle lights. True story.) Three trees up this year, two 7.5 ft and one 3 ft tabletop. That last one^ is my new larger MmmCrafts ornament tree with lights off, so you can see the ornaments better. The old pencil tree bit the dust last year which was OK since it was too small to handle all the ornaments. This one is actually pretty full already though? I had to hang some samples on the family tree. Might have to start leaving some upstairs.
This little lighted Christmas house was my mom’s. I have it right next to where I perch in the kitchen so I can feel close to her. She loved everything about Christmas. Her absence is hitting me hard each time I hear her favorite Christmas songs. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by Judy Garland and Please Come Home For Christmas by the Eagles. My sisters and I have found ourselves crying at random moments in public in this first Christmas without her. That’s OK. It’s all part of grieving. We were very lucky to have her, weren’t we?
All the presents are wrapped. The menu is planned. I have my family home with me and that is all I need. I’m looking forward to a low key Christmas Eve day of cooking, puzzles, movies, and maybe a nice walk in this mild weather.
A very merry and bright Christmas to you all!
Beautiful words. I was especially touched by the little Chrsitmas house and its evocation of your mum. You were indeed very lucky to have her. Have a lovely time . xxx
Have a lovely time with your family. And I love be more Mary. That is beautiful.
Hope you get through this first Christmas with more happy memories than sad if your wonderful Mum.
Thank you for your continuing inspiration and creativity. My pixies and Mr and Mrs Claus are hanging on the stairs!! I have plans to have the twelve days done too. A goal for next year! Making them gives me so much joy, thank you.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thank you for your sharing all year long, you are an inspiration!
Merry Christmas Larissa, may all the joys of the season be yours.
Dear Larissa,
Thank you for all the beautiful Christmas patterns. I’ve made quite a few. I’ve been looking for felt Nutcrackers for quite some time, but I can’t find them anywhere. Perhaps (I’m too afraid to ask) it’s an idea for you? A fun series that everyone can really enjoy. In any case, I wish you a very happy holiday season. Love from Amsterdam, the Netherlands Fanny Eikelenboom
I also think a Nutcracker set would be fantastic. I know Larissa’s eye for detail would make that a really social series.
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family. I loved seeing your Christmas trees . The Judy Garland version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas has always been a favourite of mine e too.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and peaceful New Year!
God give you peace and joy this Christmas! Love you, friend.
Beautiful trees and wrapped gifts, Larissa. Thanks for all the inspiration. I appreciate you.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. My daughter loves your work, as do I. It seems to be a Christmas tradition that we pick one of your ornaments each year to make for us and family. Last year it was the Christmas Stocking, this year the Lodestar, next year we have chosen the Gingerbread House. Keep the inspiration coming, it is truly appreciated.
Merry Christmas! Jesus is the Reason!
Love your work, still miss my dad and we lost him in 2020 we were talking about him today as we often do and the tears just sprung from nowhere. However if you have had great parents you are so so lucky and the happy times you all shared get you through. Take care and remember the good stuff x

Thank you so much for your clever patterns and detailed instructions.
I finished Twelve Days on Christmas Eve and they have joined Mr and Mrs Claus and a little house. I have enjoyed every moment of making them.
I was sorry to read about your Mother and hope that the coming year will bring you and your family peace and consolation. You will have many happy memories.

I’ve been thinking about all you girls this season! I miss your mom too as well as mine. I’ve been thinking of all our family Christmas parties when we were young girls! What fun we had and all the good food… AND the old home movies uncle Gene would bring! The laughter! We are the next old generation now that our parents are gone! Family time is extra precious this year as we are about to lose another parent of our extended family. Hold tight to them all!! Love you cuz!!
Thank you for bringing so much joy to the world with your gift of artistry! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
