By The Chimney Pattern Is In The Shop!

So happy to announce my new By The Chimney PDF pattern is now available in the Etsy shop: mmmcrafts.etsy.com

Skill level: INTERMEDIATE
(If you finished my Twelve Days series, you are ready!)

By The Chimney is the 6th ornament in my ongoing ‘Twas The Night ornament series. It is entirely hand sewn, and there is some paper crafting thrown in there too. The stocking stuffers are of course removable, because tiny removable items are fun! There are seven stuffer options so you can customize by choosing either a teddy or doll, book or gift, then filling in with the candy cane, lolly, and cookie.

Don’t want to make the stuffers? Not a problem, just make the stocking and include some small treats of your own inside. Still so charming!

You know Larissa is all about the tiny functional details. Two of my favorite things about the pattern are the book and gift box. The book has the full text of the poem inside, plus a bookplate in back to add a name. The gift box with tag is designed to be opened, so it can actually hold a small gift inside. Eeeeee! Don’t worry if paper crafting is not your forte. I show you step by step, and it’s easier than you think!

The samples you see here are made with my curated Classic or Retro ‘Twas The Night palettes at Benzie Design. I will be working on the detailed color guides for my samples as soon as I can, so stay tuned for those.

This pattern utilizes the amazing and wonderful Sulky Stick ‘n Stitch, which is the best thing to happen to felt crafting since the sheep. You can read more about it here, plus see lots of other tips.

My goal was to get this pattern in the shop before Thanksgiving so I’m very grateful to have it completed. As you may know, this year has been very challenging for my family as my sisters and I take it in turns to care for our elderly mom, so thank you for hanging in there with me. Everything is taking longer than planned. I appreciate your constant enthusiasm and encouragement!
