TDITM ’26 Color Guide: Gold Ring
This is the palette I used for my youngest daughter’s Twelve Days set during my 2026 Twelve Days in Twelve Months challenge. Below are the detailed felt/floss color guides for you.
First, some handy links to get you started:
To buy the pattern: mmmcrafts.etsy.com
To buy the felt colors you see below: Benzie Design, and search the colors by name. You’ll see an option to add matching floss. (Benzie also carries many of the notions and flosses you’ll need.)
COLOR GUIDES:
FELT COLORS:
Aqua: Front, back, setting front, setting back
Julep: Background (I wish I had used Kelly or Turquoise for this. I may remake it.)
Cherry Red: Gem
Rhubarb: Facet
Silver Metallic: Left and right decorations, leaves
EMBROIDERY COLORS:
Note: These are just the decorative colors. You’ll also need matching floss or thread colors to sew the felt pieces together. (There might be some overlap.)
DMC Blanc
DMC 500
DMC 166
DMC 321
DMC 892 (only the knots directly above and below the leaves)
DMC 3851 (knots on left and right decorations)
DMC G168 (loop)
OTHER NOTIONS:
I added 5mm translucent iridescent sequins under all the French knots. I used the same sequins plus matching seed beads on the facet and gem to add some sparkle. Not sure I like it. And of course, added some shiny glam with the metallic silver details.
