TDITM: Goose a-Laying completed!
I was so focused on getting Bob Cratchit done that I almost blew my deadline for TDITM. I finished both of June’s challenge ornaments on June 30th at 10:02 pm – almost two whole hours to spare! No problem. LOL.
I had trouble deciding what color to make the goose body, so I ended up splitting the neck and making the head teal and the rest olive green. The decorative band conveniently conceals the goose’s Frankenstein neck seam. I was a little worried when I experienced a minor color freak out about the goose beak and the flower at about 8 pm (you got no time for a color freak out, Larissa!) and ended up performing minor surgery to redo the flower and replace the goose head. I added notches and a big copper sequin to the flower on the wing and used metallic gold felt for the neck band and the nest.
I wasn’t able to get daylight photos until today, however I’m going to publish this post with yesterday’s date as I did technically finish them within June. *high fives own hand*

THE SET SO FAR:
How are you doing with the challenge? We are now officially halfway done! July’s swan is the very last bird in the series – hurrah! I’ll be dipping back into the coral/copper/mustard end of my TDITM palette for that one. Check here for more info.
