TDITM October: Piper Piping

Fall is finally here! My favorite. (Happy springtime for my readers in the Southern Hemisphere!) I’m in Georgia, so it’s just beginning to cool down a bit and those ads for pumpkin spice everything are finally starting to sound appealing. Grab your favorite latte and sew a piper with me for our Twelve Days in Twelve Months sewing challenge. (But wait, you might say, isn’t this the wrong order? Be assured, it’s the correct order for the original English carol. If 1780 is not for you, here’s the solution.)

Mr Piper is presented in side view, like Lord a-Leaping. I think his feathery hat is fun! Reminder: if you are a bit nervous about making his head please review my handy head tutorial, then look for the detailed instructions in the pattern.
My daughter’s piper will be sewn in the green/teal end of my Benzie color palette and I’m definitely using the gold metallic for his flute or horn or pipe or whatever that musical instrument might be.
Please add a photo of your completed ornaments in the comments of the pinned Facebook post, or tag your October Instagram post with @mmmcrafts and #twelvedaysin12months to share your progress! (Please, no photos of my pattern pages.)
