TDITM November: Lady Dancing
Y’all, Christmas is coming! And we are going to be so ahead of the ornament game because we are almost finished with the series! Now that we have percussion and a lively tune courtesy of the drummer and piper, it’s time for some dancing! If you are sewing alongside me for our Twelve Days in Twelve Months sewing challenge, it’s time to sew no. 11, Lady Dancing! (But wait, you might say, isn’t this the wrong order? Be assured, it’s the correct order for the original English carol. If 1780 is not for you, here’s the solution.)
Reminder: if you are a bit nervous about making her head please review my handy head tutorial, then look for the detailed instructions in the pattern. Her flowered bonnet and curly chenille stem bun are such fun details!
My daughter’s dancer will be sewn in the mustard/coral end of my Benzie color palette. Hmmm I see I have just two dancers left in my sample drawer (I really need to quit giving them away!) so if I can manage to make more than one, I’ll be golden. I’m not holding my breath. It’s now officially crazy season for my business, so I may need to save building up my stash for next year.
Please add a photo of your completed ornaments in the comments of the pinned Facebook post, or tag your November Instagram post with @mmmcrafts and #twelvedaysin12months to share your progress! (Please, no photos of my pattern pages.)
