Wee Mouse Tin House Pattern Available!
The PDF pattern is now available in the shop. (It’s also now available here for download.) This makes a great little portable friend to have in your purse or backpack. It’s made with scraps you probably have laying (lying?) around. I’ve taken all the guesswork out of the sizing for you and also included lots of my tricks and tips to make construction very easy. So don’t be afraid of tiny! You can do it. Lots of diagrams to explain each step, as usual. Y’all know how I love me some diagrams.

I love your creativity! These are sooo adorable!
So I made one of these last week for my daughter. I called my dad (Altoid fan in the family) to ask him if he had any empty tins and the next night he came down with 5 of them. So Creamie's little mouse is going to get a few friends I suppose. Either that or her friends will get a few mouses. 🙂 This is such a cute idea, I love it!

These project is absolutely adorable! My girls, 8 and 10, will be making them tonight ! I have been saving many tins over last years so we might end up with nice collection of mice with tin houses 🙂

In the Office Creations, if you don't have Altoids available at your local sweet shop or drug store, then you can always buy full or empties on ebay. You can find anything on ebay, it seems. Also in Canada it appears that a good substitute is Barkleys mint tin, if those are local for you, or possibly another option on ebay.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful creation, these are just beautiful. When I was a little girl I used to dream about pet mice having their own little beds, I remember they looked very much like this! Sadly I don't have any little girls (only one quite big boy) so I might just have to make them for myself 🙂

This is adorable! Just saw it on Pinterest. I don't sew! I'm wondering if the help of your patterns I can do this for my 2YO for her b-day in February. I made all of our children homemade gifts for Christmas and they loved them! This is adorable! Oh, I already said that, but really the cutest thing I've seen on Pint. in a long while. Hi there, roomforatleastonemore. If you don't sew you might have some difficulty with the pattern. The sewing skills required are basic, but the scale is small so might not be the best first project for you? A combination of machine and hand sewing is used. Thanks so much for the kind words about the pattern! I'm so glad you like it. So cute! Grandchildren (and soon, great grandchild) will love these. Reminds me of a toy my sister had. A family of mice with their own house and bunk beds for the kids! Perhaps I'll make these for her two little ones, I sent her the toy when I found it cleaning out my parent's attic!
